The Hurghada Grand Aquarium is a zoo, a museum and an aquarium all in one

A day at the Hurghada Grand Aquarium will inspire guests of all ages to appreciate the marine environment and offers a great opportunity for families to share learning. It is dedicated to providing excellent care for animals, so have fun learning the characteristics and gaining an appreciation of wildlife in their natural habitat throughout the exhibition. It teaches children and adults the importance of conservation, ecology and stewardship to enable all to develop an understanding for the irreplaceable value of all life in the world’s ocean and take an active part in preservation of our marine environment (for 6 years the aquarium has received ‘traveler’s choice award’ and is listed in the top 10% attractions worldwide)

Areas of the Grand Aquarium

• Rainforest – a rainforest can be described as a tall, dense jungle
• Arabian Tent – being traditional rather than non-traditional and much more
• Mini Zoo – first mini zoo based in Red Sea Hurghada we are dedicated to improving animal management and conservation  
• Fossil Exhibit – Wadi el-Hitan (Valley of the whales) enjoy Wadi el-hitan like your are there 
• Marine Aquarium – an aquarium that keeps marine plants and animals in a contained environment
• Fresh Water Aquarium – a receptacle that holds one or more freshwater aquatic organisms  

Activities to observe & participate in

• the aquarium’s animals are displayed in 24 different galleries 
• 1 million US gallons (3,500 m3) of marine and fresh water. 
• the Ocean tank contains 20 species – several hundred fish  
• it one of the largest indoor aquatic habitat in the world 
• the founding chairmen is largely credited with the creation, from the design of the structure to the procurement of animals for the exhibits
