You will be picked up at your requested location in Hurghada, approximately 4.00am, in an air-conditioned vehicle and transferred to the city of Cairo. You will have an Egyptologist guide, speaking in your language, who will accompany you throughout the tour (all day)

• Pyramids of Giza & the Great Sphinx .. the tour starts at the famous and impressive pyramids of Giza. Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos as well as the Sphinx 
• the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities .. after a lunch break, the tour continues on to the Egyptian Museum, where you can admire artefacts and the treasures of the young pharaoh Tutankhamen, alternatively you can visit the Cairo Citadel
• Khan Al-Khalili .. in the afternoon enjoy shopping in Cairo’s legendary bazaar, the Khan el-Khalili market  

at the end of the tour you will be transferred back to your location in Hurghada

ALTERNATIVE TOUR OPTIONS in Cairo

• Pyramids of Giza .. to discover the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. Then proceed to the Great Sphinx, the head of a pharaoh with a lion’s body, which dates from the time of Chephren. Also a visit to the Valley Temple, which belongs to the Pyramids of Chephren. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Cairo 
• Great Pyramid of Cheops .. Khufu’s pyramid, consists of a valley temple, now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman, diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been found but the site has not been excavated (1 hour)
• Khafre’s Pyramid .. a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple yielded several statues of Khafre. Several were found in a well in the floor of the temple by Mariette in 1860. (30 minutes)
• Pyramid of Menkaure .. a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once contained several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added on to the valley temple (less 30 minutes)
• The Great Sphinx of Giza .. or just the Sphinx, is a limestone statue of a reclining sphinx, a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human. Facing directly from West to East, it stands on the Giza Plateau on the west bank of the Nile in Giza, Egypt. The face of the Sphinx is generally believed to represent the pharaoh Khafre. Cut from the bedrock, the original shape of the Sphinx has been restored with layers of blocks. It is the oldest known monumental sculpture in Egypt and is commonly believed to have been built by ancient Egyptians of the Old Kingdom during the reign of the pharaoh Khafre (c. 2558–2532 BC) (less 30 minutes)
• The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities .. commonly as the Egyptian Museum or Museum of Cairo is home to an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities. It has 120,000 items, with a representative amount on display, the remainder in storerooms. Built in 1901 by the Italian construction company Garozzo-Zaffarani to a design by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon, the edifice is one of the largest museums in the region. The museum is due to be superseded by the new Grand Egyptian Museum at Giza  (less than 3 hours)
• The Hanging Church (El Muallaqa, Sitt Mariam, St Mary) move to Coptic Cairo for a background about the Christian & Jewish heritage through the Hanging Church (1 hour)
• & Synagogue Ben Ezra … (1 hour)  
• Khan Al-Khalili .. continue to Islamic Cairo, where you will be able to explore Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s old bazaar
